Ed Ogonek, President and CEO
Ed Ogonek joined Bridgewater Systems Corporation in May 2004 as its president and CEO, bringing more than 20 years of experience in telecommunications, data networking and network/service management. Before joining Bridgewater Systems, Ed held the position of senior vice president and general manager of metro and enterprise solutions for CIENA. Prior to CIENA, Ed was president and chief executive officer of Akara Corporation, which was acquired by CIENA in August 2003. Ed's prior experience includes key executive and general management positions at Newbridge Networks, Alcatel, British Telecom and Bellcore. Ed received a bachelor's degree in mathematics from John Carroll University and a master's degree in operations research from Case Western Reserve University.

Kim Butler, Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer
Kim Butler is responsible for finance, administration, and legal affairs at Bridgewater Systems. Before joining Bridgewater, Kim was segment controller at ABB (Asea Brown Boveri) for the Power Generation Segment, with her prime focus on large project financing. She was also employed as director of finance for Flakt Canada and with Mitel Corporation in various finance roles for nine years. Kim graduated from Carleton University with a bachelor of commerce degree and is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA).

Phillip Thrasher, Sr. Vice President, Worldwide Sales and Services
A recognized global telecommunications industry leader and based in Dallas, Texas, Phillip Thrasher is responsible for leading Bridgewater’s global sales strategy and managing the company’s sales and professional services teams worldwide. Prior to Bridgewater, Phillip spent more than 20 years in senior-level sales positions in the telecommunications market. He was formerly executive vice president of global sales for MetaSolv Software, which was acquired by Oracle in 2006. He joined MetaSolv in 2002 through the acquisition of Nortel’s Service Commerce assets. Prior to Nortel, Phillip worked at Architel and Accugraph. He has received diplomas in electrical engineering and general arts and science programs from Sir Sandford Fleming College, Peterborough, Ontario.

David L. Sharpley, Sr. Vice President, Marketing and Product Management
David Sharpley is responsible for driving global marketing, product management and business development activities, and has over 15 years of experience marketing in the technology and telecommunications sectors. Before joining Bridgewater in 2008, David worked at Oracle Corporation where he was responsible for global marketing communications and alliance partnerships. Prior to Oracle, David was the executive VP of marketing and product management for MetaSolv Software, where he was instrumental in building and positioning the firm as a software leader. His extensive experience in operational and business support systems (OSS/BSS) and software development includes leading the product and engineering units of Nortel’s OSS and Clarify’s CRM business units. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree from Carleton University and an International MBA from the University of Ottawa.

Eamonn Garry, Sr. Vice President, Verizon Program
Eamonn Garry joined Bridgewater Systems in October 2005 and is responsible for leading a highly experienced and talented team supporting innovative, high-quality, and market-leading solutions for the Verizon Program. He brings extensive engineering and management experience as well as in-depth technical knowledge to the company. Prior to joining Bridgewater, Garry spent more than 14 years at Nortel, where he held numerous positions, including heading the GSM, GPRS, and EDGE development team spread between Canada, France, and India. Previous roles included system integration setup for UMTS and GPRS, leading to many industry firsts, and software architecture management and definition for the DMS line of products. Prior to Nortel Eamonn was with Analog Devices where he worked extensively on the development and testing of CMOS devices. Garry is a graduate of University College Dublin in Ireland, with a bachelor's degree in hardware and embedded systems design.
Gary Knee, Sr. Vice President, Engineering & Operations
Gary Knee joined Bridgewater Systems Corporation in February 2010 as Senior Vice President , Engineering and Operations, bringing more than 20 years of experience in telecommunications leading Product Development and Customer Support teams. Before joining Bridgewater, Gary held the position of Vice President, Research and Development for Redknee, Inc. Prior to Redknee Inc, Gary led engineering organizations at Nimcat Networks, SS8 Networks, and Lantern Communications. Gary’s career in telecommunications started at Nortel Networks where he held progressively more responsible positions culminating as Director, Research and Development of the Access Networks Division. Gary received a Master's degree in Business Administration from the Telfer School of Management at the University of Ottawa and a Diploma of Electronic Engineering Technology from Memorial University of Newfoundland. Gary is also an active board member of Virtual Marine Technology, a private firm based in St. John’s Newfoundland.
